Haha, mine also sometimes got...especially if on air con n stuck in jam...after stoppin got some kind of sound....like bunyi perut kosong only....somethin like boiling also.... But water level ok, temp also ok....Maybe i should change the radiator cap, since its old & is worn out. Maybe the steam or water is escaping from there when its hot.....assumption only.... |

the radiator is a presurized system, where the water won't boil until about 120C... so if you're hearing boiling, meaning it has lost it's pressure. change the radiator cap. the spring might have weaken. also check the water level |

erm not really universal gua....i notice ours quite big compared to some cars....but early b11's using same radiator as ours..so cap also same the boiling sound is due to leak in the radiator system the radiator is a pressurized system so water not supposed to boil till a higher temp and not 100 degrees celcius...if u hear water boiling means it boils at a lower temperature already and means pressure lost and means somewhere is leaking... like what ocp said earlier lah... btw, the higher the pressure, the higher the boiling point also....we study in thermodynamics ^_^ |

we will have to see what type of leak loh...pressure leak only wont cause the engine to overheat la....still got water inside ma.or maybe it does overheat but very minimal and it doesnt make any difference in the temp gauge yet... i only experienced once engine overheating in my datsun and thats when the water pump leaked very badly. even when the water level is low...the temp only rises abit...and when the whole radiator goes dry, thats when u see the temp will rise till H level. |
