yesterday i took out my 'sillicone' new type plug cables and replaced it with my old normal cable....kenot tahan the distortion it brings to my FM reception

got very noticable difference between the normal cables and the sillicone...okay this is what ive found when i use back normal cables..

1. pickup slower
2. engine smoother....with sillicone plugs, even tho got pickup, can feel it 'semput-semput' abit
3. rev also slower <_< .
4. but the most noticable differece is radio reception is so much better!
5. i heard ppl say the lousy cheap silicone cables will break? true ka

lousy silicon can cause distortion or noise to the electrical system. worst it'll jump spark or short circuit to the car's engine. plus other then emitting noisy, the electrical signal is susceptable to outside noise such as 2 stroke motorcycle's noise.

if you're running on points it can kill your condensor (capacitor) and your points plus foul your plugs. i kena this before. damn hard to trouble shoot, plus wasted a lot of money and time to diagnose.

and another thing... never cross the plug cables... maintain it like ribbon cable to reduce the "crosstalk" effect

what brand you use? i'm using topgun brand... at spare part shop recomended... quite pricey also... but it is well shielded.

there is these plug cable holder that arrange it in a row...

my cables is 9mm or 10mm.. forgot already.. blue in color... bought it at RM120 costs price.

one complain is that the cable tend to run very hot... the only reason i can think off is the copper wire coil that runs in it conducts heat from the sparkplug.
