if spray la...
the car paint need to be brush off 1st or just spray on it?

clean the base coat (your car's original paint)... then use masking tape to mask the area you want to paint (look in my car's restoration thread). then spray with black paint or any colour you like...

after that respray the whole car with a new coat of clear laquer. sand polish the whole car so that the stripe will feel smooth... not feel like extra layer of paint. if you got money, you can buy "house of kolor" brand of paint to do the stripe. if use this paint, no need to use clearcoat also can, because the paint is very thin compared to normal car paint or aerosol paint.

5-6 times the costs of normal 2k paint. house of kolor is normally used for airbrush. Pimp my Ride's West Coast Customs uses House of Kolor paints.

my looks is from ford mustang muscle cars.. too obssessed with it already :P my paint is metalic black paint with gold dusts in it.

you can apply 5-6 layers pf house of kolor's paint.. anf the outcome is still thinner than 1 layer of dupont 2k paint. so it is good for producing ghosting paint jobs, air brushes, stripes .etc
