i found out one component which is not connected after i swap engine its a square box... outside written "ETi200 Electronic Ignition" got 4 wire comes out from it, black (ground), green, yellow, blue. there is 2 LED on it, one is "igt. on", another one is "timing" there is also one 3 way switch on it can switch to "standard","off","electronic" i search from internet only come across one site... http://groups.google.com/group/uk.rec.cars...b411a9223556e9c anyone know how to connect that? anyone can confirm the site is correct? and what is this thing for anyway? i so curious.. :) i also not understand terms like CDU, CB.. etc. etc.. |

CDI is a standalone equipment... what can see is a control unit for the electronic ignition, when SAM transplanted engine, obiviously he used the new engine's normal distributor, while the formen accidentally "profited" from the electronic distributor. B310 electronic distributor can costs up to RM200 each second hand |

no ..
:) when i change engine the foreman told me 'ini enjin kosong saje' so many things he said use from old engine including distributor lor.. plug wire lor.... radiator lor.. even flywheel... he said use the one from my old engine but i think he just simply answer that? flywheel is the big disc that at the end of your engine? i got saw that when i view the engine b4 transplant... so.. i use back the electronic distributor i have so.. how to connect that CDI thing leh? all 4 wires 1 ground got ring connector so can connect to any point of car body. than another 3 wire.. blue, yellow n green i notice it is connector... they all got 'female' type (metal that flat metal plug into) only green color got 'male' type (flat metal) anyone got idea? what is the purpose of that thing? i ask my dad he also forget how to connect.. |
