It's a Datsun A15 engine with a list of engine modifications like,
New Bearings and Seals
11.5:1 Compression
JTS Alloy Head
Race Spec Valve Stem Seals
Double Valve Springs
54/86 Camshaft
Bosch High Rev Alternator
Perfectly Matched Twin Weber Carburettors (No Flat Spots, super Responsive)
Brand New 4 Into 1 Thermal Wrapped Extractors
Brand New High Energy Ignition System Consisting of a Bluebird Series 2 High Energy Electronic Distributor with Bosch HEC 715 Matched Coil, 8.0mm Leads and NGK BP5ES Spark Plugs
Brand New Facet Blue Electronic Fuel Pump into Holley Fuel Pressure Regulator
also in the deal is a reconditioned lancer brake booster ready to fit to a datsun 1200
asking $2700 for the complete engine and brake booster

either of these would 'suprise' your mate but probably won't blow his doors off in a straight line ..... but put it into some windy stuff and let the fun begin

JTS is a tuner in australia... he have his range of kits.. something like Kei Office for silvia and skyline...

our A15 comes with 8.9:1 compression ratio... hard to get to 11.5... (in terms of reliability) unless you have the A12A engine that comes with high compression stock

10:1 engine compression is so hard to drive around coz u need higher ron of petrol :(

the highest people mod is 11.5:1... our engine still can take it...

about the quality of fuel.. not i;m on high timing and i require good batch of petrols... i can use ONLY BP, projet, ESSO (less power) and v-power.

other fuels especially petronas petrol station not manned by perdagangan petronas (they mixed with minyak tanah) will cause knocking..

there is however other solutions to it. octane booster.

rpm 8k cut? datsun got fuel cut wan?

anyway, those using A12 comes without hardened valve seats must use Ron92 once a while or put lead additive.. if not will cause wear.
