master carb thank you for your explanation :P me noob fella need master to lead the way :lol: hehehe me no vacuum leaking to be frank my timing after I adjust already idle is 21 high rev or full throttle open is around 30+ :o haha slow car like that one so no choice :( |

when you engine cold start.. do you hear "glock-glock-glock" sound? thatis the second butterfly vibrating... progressive is meaning the second butterfly only open at later stage of throttle.... but in hitachi306, there is another butterfly. it opens ONLY when there is enough vacuum in the second throttle (above 3krpm). this is to keep the fuel economy.. there is a site in the web explaining about it... forgot where is it already |

my carb yah uses vacuum to open the secondary plate. when it reaches above 3K the carb will open the butterfly. even during idle I can fell the air going into the secondary plate as I tested before :) |

I'm planning to re-gap my my engine timing soon when I send my car for service as so far I can still drop to 2nd gear n rev until 8k no problem but with fuel haik hmmm....... 6K enuf lar......... :lol: where u got curi makan u show your true colours :o |

easier to explain ma... no need to put head into dark dark hood... can lepak with teh tarik and touch touch carb... i sleep with my spare carb under my bed, 3 sport rims and 2 tyres in room and fuel line on table. |

change the contact point to newer models wan.. new packaging with new nissan logo. the contact point not one round shape.. but donut shape.. got hole in center. so the point won't get too hot. After i changed to bosch ignition coil with 1.8ohm resistance (meant for merc), the normal points keep hangus.. every 1-2 months the points totally burned out. fried is the right term actually... then i changed to the newer ones at least didn't hangus. still makan the point, but after 2 months, still can use compared to the old ones hangus until cannot use. |
