air cond idle will cost u around rm200+ here ler..i already ask, nid to do abit of minor mod also. its a separate part which when aircond compressor kicks in it will suck more air and create a higher rpm |

good for you! o wonder la your car power... engine rebore... no longer A15.. now A16! most common is RB25 pistons... you just need 4 of the 6 pistons. change la ceramic coated piston.. good for high revs |

just set your idle screw for higher RPM la... easy only... the idler is good investment.. but not really required... not like we spend most of driving time idle. |

kik4...is ur datto the big absorber bumper or the black bumper 1 or the chrome bumper 1? absorber bumpers mostly using the patco aircond o smth and some black bumper ones too, with its switches next to the choke and another on the right side but for mine and earlier black bumper datto, my aircond switch is the small separate boxy national brand that below the steering wheel 1. for later datsuns(big bumper) there is a switch below the rear window demister switch...urs shud be in auto mode now..switch it to manual and the comperessor will run all the time. auto mode means the compressor only runs when u acclerate till certain rpm. if you are using the national brand with the separate box switch, the auto/manual button will be on the right of the box... For the national aircond, u can adjust at what rpm the compressor kicks in. there is a rubber thinggy covering a hole near auto/manual switch, take that thing off and turn the screw inside. i forgot clockwise or anticlockwise to make the compressor kicks in lower or higher rpm liaw. but mine kicks in at quite high rpm. set it too low the car will jerk during pickup and will b slower, and if ure not used to it the car will stall easily too coz it draws too much power at low rpm. |

there is a relay switch on your right... below the thermistor switch. there is AUTO/Manual setting... set to manual... but your car will vibrate hard as it'll go below idling rev... i normally on traffic light will set to manual.. then press a little throttle to let it idle on 1k... when green light set back to auto.. you can take the thing out to set the rev for the compressor to kick in. for more infor on the setting refer to abubu's post |

it is possible.. but you need to set the idle for your car to be higher.. like 1.3-1.5k when aircond off.. this is to reduce the jerkyness from the load of the compressor and alternator.. also to reduce engine stall at night when the lights are on. |

mine sumtimes when i switch on manual it doesnt jerk at all the car. just steady likethat...at times when i on it it will vibrate till it stalls. rpm is around 900-1k without compressor on but this datsun aircond is kinda useless in horribly hot weather. try stuck in a jam for only 30 mins under the extremely hot afternoon. coz it has only 1 fan for aircond and engine, the aircond doesnt really cool down effectively at all. the car needs another extra fan for the aircond for it to perform better. some ppl like bro shab has installed the extra fan at night if u switch to manual u cannot c a thing at all outside...too cold pulak....our car has natural climate control system  |
