do u guys know how to tune twin carb? my bro's SSS facing problem with it... so now he just took of da screw... da car will mati setengah jalan if u didnt accelerate... my left foot breaking become better bcoz driving this car... :P |

the main primary and secondary jets can be change without taking out the carb... susah abit but still can change... when you pop the hood up you'll see the carb with the float indicator glass... there is 2 12mm nuts below it. open the nut and the jets are inside. |

the problem is where to get larger jets in malaysia.. for example if you bore your piston or valve seats to larger diameter. you'll need more fuel. normally tuners in australia (there is one preson there that races 1200) have a box of different jet sizes for tuning.. they have specific guide of jet sizes for different CC engines and level of mods. then they change the jets and do dyno to check on the gain of HP and torque. if you buy your carb at tan chong now.. they give the size of 137/150 which is good for A15 engine. if you've changed your cam to mild or high profile, then you'll need to change the jets to larger ones too. earlier carbs primary is less than 100 while secondary is just 137. since the newer carbs (and rebuild kits) give 137/150, you can use it in A12, A14 and A15. |

our datsun usues DCH306 with autochoke? mine jus change...spareparts shop claim that 120y uses DCG306 without autochoke...any1 can confirm with me original a12 uses wad type? my mech was trying to ask us to source for DCH306 cos its good...but that time we stupid dunno la...regret not using the autochoke type |

do you see a choke thingy on your dash? if got that means it's manual choke.. 99% datsuns in malaysia is manual choke.. autochoke runs on 2 method, from water temp or electric. you won't see choke lever in car... IE newer cars nowdays that runs on electric choke ( controlled by ecu to enable choke at start of engine) |

datsun 120y no need choke... mine the cable also i cabut already... finding way to remove the choke butterfly in the carb to increase airflow.... the lubang for choke lever i replace with something else
;) morning cold start i also got "other" solution to smoothen the engine... come to next TT i'll share :P |
