Today a tornado went through downtown Raleigh, NC (the capital) and it went through NC State. As of now there is still no power at my apartment and this has been the case since 4 (its now 11).

Above is a video taken of some of the damage near South Saunders street which is about 1-2 miles from my apartment.

Holy crap, I heard on the news there were a few in the area today, looks serious, glad you're ok though... No power? Could've been worse.

How's the damage around your place?

My apartment building is fine but the building two down from me has a tree against it and the hail took out some windows. Luckily that building took all of the wind and damage for the whole row.

Glad you're alright man. I've never experienced a tornado, but I imagine it's terrifying in every sense.

The weather in the area was incredibly bad last night. We had several tornado watches leading to warnings within a couple of hours.

Still no power. Traffic lights are down all over and I don't even think we will have power at all today. Thankfully campus still has power.
