Hey People,

As I'm not in regular communication with most of you now. I'm wondering what you are all doing with your lives? Theres not a lot of topics being created and I thought well I'll make one. I know some of you use IRC to communicate on a more frequent basis but, I haven't got the time. Plus how is the job situation in America? I've heard its not good.

I'll start! Currently I'm finishing my A Levels and hoping to go to university. I'm going on holiday with my girlfriend this year, not China or India :( but, Spain? with her it will do :). Nothing much has really happened in my life personally. O I saw Paramore months ago before the brothers left and like a year ago lostprophets. I'm 18 now and I love littlebigplanet, I've stopped playing COD. Been focusing on maintaining a social life, coursework and my girlfriend. Which probably surprises you all? Anyway I hope to hear your doing well in life? Or at least enjoying it.

I don't get this British school system, what's A levels mean? And what do you graduate with at that point? *(Lol minimat's a lesbian, she has a gf)* too late for that joke? :P

As for me, I'm in my 2nd year (out of 4) of a BS in Civil Engineering (so much simpler, see?) I've been working at the Civil Engineering lab at my school since November, so I've had a lot less free time...
I stopped playing my xbox so much cause the most recent batch of games (reach/BLOPS) has kinda been shitty and I've also got minecraft to waste my time with.

Now that I'm making some decent bank, I've been hoping to spend some on a vacation over the summer (I'm taking all suggestions) but until then I'm stuck in jersey :(

Finishing my second year out of ??? years of college. Nothing much has changed about me. My main change has been knowledge. Every year it seems I learn significantly more than I learned the year prior and I hope to keep it up.

Along with Zee I also spend a lot of time on Minecraft. I've been hosting my own server and have set up a forum for it (link in sig). A few people from here play on it and I've begun posting on the official forums a bit to see if I can attract any attention (I'm not advertising, just posting in support and stuff). If you have the time, $20, and creativity I'd give it a shot.

@Zee: I was reading a National Geographic magazine at the doctors office yesterday all about China. I'd say try there, but not the big cities. Get out into the country and see what's out there. I definitely want to. And Japan is always a top choice if I had the money to travel. Within the states (lol) I want to hit up NYC, Miami, and somewhere on the West Coast.

Been to Japan but I'd give it another shot, China's definitely in the "possible" section, but I'd need to save up a bit more for the plane ticket. I'd love to take their super fast train just to say I did it lol

Cool stuff dude! Not sure what all the A level stuff means but being in school is always good lol. I've been living and working in new york city since January. Things have been good! I'm really enjoying not being in school anymore as well. I have way more responsibility on me but it's a lot more rewarding and fun. There's something liberating about not having to do essays for no reason anymore.

In The U.K we have to do A Levels to prove our worth to get into University and study at degree level. As they all cost the same amount but, teach different courses. Its just a way of prooving that you can study at a higher level between 16 and 18. Where as others will do apprenticeships to get lower paid more manual jobs and some get a dead end job at 16.

Although atm because of our lack of jobs, people who don't go to university aren't doing very well. Some do but, its hard :/

For me I am busy all the time. I have 18 hours this semester and one of my classes is senior design which eats up 20+ hours a week. Last semester for me though so thats good. Still with my girlfriend which is always great. I play xbox (cod/bfbc2/breach) when I get a chance which lately is not very often. Also been job hunting and trying to stay around where I am which should be easy since there is a lot of companies around here.

Same with the job hunting. Lost my seasonal job and now I've been looking once a week for a month. I've had 2 job interviews.

Oh so you're in year 13 mini? (sorry but it'll never be matt =P) I always thought you were a year below me for some reason. I'm at the same stage as you then, what unis have you applied to and what for?

I got rejected from Cambridge (equivalent of Harvard for you Americans) a couple of months back which kind of sucked but I've since had an offer from Durham (Which is like the #3 uni over here) which I'm so excited about, I'm going up there to visit in like 3 weeks. I'm taking Physics by the way, expecting my maths A level result next Thursday so tensions are high at the moment.

I seem to have acquired a social life over the past 18 months or so which is always fun, I've been out at various friends' 18ths for four weekends running now =) Everything's at that stage now where we'll all be leaving soon and meeting loads of new people when we move away so its really sad but really exciting all at the same time.

Not going to lie... moving out is great but money is always on my mind. Everything is unbelievably expensive now that I'm paying for everything myself. I will even now be like.. well as much as I feel like eating I ate enough and probably shouldn't eat more.. cause I have to PAY for that food.
