I spent all day looking at apartments with my college buddy. We're both starting work in January in New York, so we've been looking around North Jersey for a place. Well.. WE FOUND ONE! After seeing so many apartments around our price range that were basically in the ghetto.. we found a great deal on craigslist in a place called Weehawkin, New Jersey. Sounds funny I know. The place is renovated and feels newish and comfortable, and the area is awesome. Lots of stores and cool places around.

Will be posting pictures by the end of the year when I move in! I'm going to be moving out of home most likely for the last time... Crazyness.

Well good luck, hopefully you dont have the whole, "I need to know what's happening every second upon every hour" complex like I do. It makes me pretty damn perceptive and I have no idea how I acquired it, but it pretty much wore me thin when I lived in the city. I realized then that I'd rather live in a cabin away from people, then in a city with a bunch of stuff to do with there being a lot of people.

I'd do this if I didn't have such good people around all the time.

Apartment life is great. 2nd year in an apartment and still loving it. Got some great room mates that I've known since freshman year of high school and then a random guy (that just told us he was gay) but still an awesome guy that has all the best music. Overall its 20x better than dorm life. Only downside is school internet is the best and anything else is lacking around here.

@Tom
I apologize for the late response. I was just raised in a way that I need to constantly be aware of what's going on around me. Military Family.
On another note, I'm assuming that you are not RENTING this apartment.

@Chris
Yeah, I've got some good people too. The amount of good people is however squashed by the amount of people that I can't stand. Which is completely unfortunate, so the cabin is nice for me.

@Meow
Quite honestly, I didn't know what a transcendentalist was until I looked it up. Haha. I'm sure if you said I didn't accept the standards placed on society you wouldn't be far off. I look at it more as I prefer the outdoors as opposed to being around people.
