Zhao tells Aang that he doesn't plan to kill him because the avatar would just be reborn into the next nation in the cycle and the Fire Nation would have to search all over again. This shouldn't be a problem since the comet will arrive in less than a year giving the Fire Nation enough power to end the war once and for all before the next avatar would be able to talk, let alone bend anything. Also if Zhao kills Aang- the last airbender- then the next avatar would never become a fully realized avatar since he/she wouldn't have anyone to learn airbending from

That's an excellent point, but I think Zhao was meaning that even if the Fire Nation completely took over, then the next Avatar in the cycle would over-throw them. He was actually very wise not to kill Aang, for he was preparing for after the comet struck, not before it.

In the challenge where Toph creates a rock armor that completely covers and Aang has to push her out out of the line, her rock armor has an opening for the eyes to see through. Why? She's blind and she "sees" through vibration, so why does her rock armor need eyeholes?

That's a good point. Perhaps she likes to feel the air on her eyes... Besides, it looks cooler that way.

While exploring the Fire Nation ship Katara says that it has haunted her tribe for a long time, since her grandmother was a little girl. Yet, we know from "The Waterbending Master" that her grandmother wasn't born in the Southern Water Tribe and she couldn't have been there as a little girl

Just because her grandmother wasn't there as a little girl, doesn't mean that the Fire Nation ship wasn't there. Katara just used her grandmother's childhood as a reference for when the ship hit the tribe.

to disprove something: The bounty hunters wrote a fake note to blind Toph. Thats because they knew she was traveling with the others that could read.

just wanted to disprove that one before you said it...

Keeper of:
Toph's blind earthbending ability
her metalbending
Jet's hookblades
Foofoo Cuddlypoops!
And with everybody that I find, and with every claymore that they mine...I will forget who I'm looking for. Oh Mother help me, I'm looking for...
To die unsung would really bring you down, although wet eyes would never suit you. Walk through the walk you take to suicide, die young is far too boring these days.
