How many was it? 123 people with the mutation? Plus their kids. Well, if you figure only a percentage of the people using the machine would be of child-bearing age or younger (let's say 75%); and that any kids they've had have not had children old enough to have children yet (anyone born after 1969 wouldn't be 40 yet, so few, if any, should have kids older than their teens); and some percent of those exposed should be past child-bearing age, now; and if you figure the average number of kids per family to be 2, then that would mean something in the neighborghood of 200 kids who could have the promicin producing gene passed on to them. That's less than 5% out of 4400, and that's only if everyone with the Starzl mutation has kids with 4400s. While I think it's a neat explanation as to why they're in Seattle, it doesn't seem like a significant enough number to matter. |

I agree, that the math shows it isn't that signifigant, the number of people with Starzl vs the number of 4400s. It might, though, be a glimpse of an iceberg....the visible part of something bigger. Perhaps Starzl isn't the only mutation which allows for children (of 4400s) to produce promicin. Perhaps its just the only one we've come across. Just a thought. ps: Starzl explains why they're in Seattle...but does it explain why they were returned in 2004? |

Some of the people who were abducted were taken just months prior to their return--I think that's the reason for 2004. After all, if Jordan had been gone longer, he might have lost his financial empire the way Orson Bailey did, and imagine how differently things would have turned out then! |
