Though...what would you think his first name is? And did I spell his surname correctly? (as a placeholder in a fic, I've named him Lemuel Garritty)

I bet you there are so many John's and David's and Tom's around everywhere. I hope they bring Garrity back S3, I like the actor and the character amused me in WuC and Lockdown. :D

He's not listed for the Pilot episode, or any in S1, as far as I can tell he came in at S2 when they got NTAC headquarters established in Seattle. There was however a guy called Sid in S1 whom a friend (and big 4400 fan) got confused with Garritty and thought they were the same person. Looking at screencaps of them they do in fact look quite similar but they're definitely not the same actor, nor the same character judging by IMDB listings. Sid for some reason dissappeared after S1, I presume the character is still working for HomeSec or whatever - and that the actor was unavailable or wasn't asked to come back.
