Freeze! You're under arrest. You have the right to the remains of a silent attorney! If you cannot afford one, tough noogies! You can make one phone call! I recommend Trixie: 976-Triple 5-LOVE. Do you understand these rights as I have explained them to you?! Well do you, punk?!
10% of this plan is lunacy. 50% of these riches is not enough. 100% of dead is dead.
I Am A Passenger On Spaceship Earth.
Mission Report: Michael invaded Atlantis. He tried to blow it up. We stopped him. End of report.
Let's go change the world.

Me too. I wasn't expecting much from the preview but they did the plot really well. It could have been so cliched, the general type of episode it was has been done so many times, but importantly they did it and gave it a good twist.

I really felt for Tom here, which is saying something since I hadn't previously cared that much about his character based on his behaviour - but this really made me care, I think one of the things I liked best was the family dynamic. The part where they say goodbye has me practically crying (or actually crying, if I'm not watching it with housemates ;)).

I really liked this episode. Many other people though, hated it and called it a filler. I like Alana. "They" accomplished in one episode what would normally take a whole season or two to do.

Yeah, when I watched it with my housemates one of them was really impressed with how they used one episode to believably introduce a new character as signifcant.

And the episode was really great for Tom, so what's not to like apart from it not advancing the plot in more general terms? It was still an important episode from his perspective.

It was so different from their usual episodes too. If you want to get somebody into the show that hasn't seen one episode, that's the one to show them, not the pilot, this one was just so incredible.

You're right though, Purpleyin, Tom was a pretty boring character, but once I saw this episode, I really started to feel for him. I liked this view of him, very sweet! ^_^

I loved this episode.

Particularly interesting was how the force made it such an appetizing place for Tom to live....it was a test of character, just as much as it was a matchmaking.

Particularly curious was how, when Tom asked if she knew of the 4400, Alana's reply was "I am the 4400."

there were a number of priceless lines....and some scenes with nearly no lines, just as priceless -- like Tom kissing Diana, but it was pulled off with...hm, shall we say tact?
:D

Diana's lines about the 4400-not-4400s, all wonderful..."you know me, I don't have any kids."

"Do me a favor: don't say that around anyone else."

It was nice of him to say hi to Maia....wonder if he explained why he was out there, or just went "sorry, wrong house."

the only puzzling thing was that bit with Kyle being arrested. what was he saying to Tom through the glass?

:spin: I was frustrated the first time I saw it, since it was Tom focused and my favourite characters (Shawn, Kyle, Maia) weren't their usual vulnerable selves. Also I wanted to find out how Shawn was coping with Jordan's death. The ending was interesting, although I hated Shawn's chin tuft. I liked it better the 2nd time, but it's still the weakest episode so far. (Due to everything being so perfect.) Still I loved Kyle's reaction to it in the following episode.

i reallyl like that episode. I thought it was great. i was not expecting it at all. i was very excited watching it tho cuz i was watching and waiting and wondering if they were ever going to get out and if they did what would happen to them. i thought it was a great episode.
Want to join a RPG site? It was just made so nuthing has been started. Once there is enough people we might be able to get it going. It mostly focuses on the 4400, but there is a place for other story lines as well. Please check it out.

Yeah, this episode was cool. It was very interesting to see Maia Rutledge as an elderly lady and then seeing Conchita play the granddaughter. I will admit that at the beginning I wasn't fond of Alana but after the episode I got over it. She then quickly became one of my likable characters.

(I miss her now!)

That's a plan, maybe I'll watch the episode this afternoon.

Well I just got done watching this episode. Loved the scene near the end when Tom put a quick kiss on Diana's forehead and how it all happened so fast and Di was just left with her mouth open like 'what just happened'.

:spin: This was the only Episode that i hadn't seen of the whole series, and i am not the biggest fan of Alana (more the Baldwin/Skouris Type myself) but Wow... things make alot more sense now! Except I CANNOT figure out what was going on with Kyle being all bloody and being arrested. And what the HECK was he saying through the window! Maybe it has something to due with the storyline he will have in the upcoming episodes. Can't wait to have him back! Jordan too!
